Where did Mountain Tui go? I see his fb has just been taken down. I hope they reinstate it. Where is the best place to go to so I can catch up with his posts.?

Doesn't look like it is "taken down" – probably just set to not be public. His post at the top of this site is currently at about 30k page views on this site. Virtually all from New Zealand on mobiles. That is despite it crushing my mobile caching and slowing the whole site down. It isn't slowing down this morning.
That is even after the I hate to think what it is up to on substack where it was originally featured.
It's cogent arguments appears to have struck a nerve with the previously vacillating supporters of this government. Because it is hard to argue against. Witness the piss-poor arguments against the post – most of which appear to have come directly from Really stupid radio.
I can only imagine what the comments have been like on the cess-pit of Facebook.
The 4 years without a ferry where rail freight can roll on and off it begin.

Four years, if we are lucky. Outrageous. An omnishambles.
A key rail freight route. A key tourist route. A strategic route. But there seems to be plenty of money for 4-lane motorways, though even these seem to be more about promises than delivery.
Remember Luxon and friends attacking Labour for non-delivery at the last election?
War: good for drug resistant bacteria.

Multidrug resistance was defined as non-susceptibility to at least one drug in three or more classes;4 the multiple antibiotic resistance (MAR) index was calculated for each isolate (ie, the number of drugs resisted divided by the number tested).

Growth was observed in 982 (74·6%) of 1317 specimens; 746 of these (76%) were from wound material, reflecting the overwhelming burden of ballistic and crush trauma.

A temporal comparison of two time periods of conflict escalation—Nov 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, and April 1–Aug 31, 2024—found the prevalence of multidrug resistance to be unchanged (66·7% [150/225] for the first time period and 68·2% [507/743] for the second; χ2=0·195, p=0·66),….

Surely not this again:
"Malnourishment, overcrowded medical camps and hospitals, and poor hygiene, exacerbated by the war, promoted bacterial superinfection, killing most of the victims after a typically prolonged death bed"
A failed state.

Having trouble with the website in a mobile version today?
I have been having issues too newsense – I tried switching my mobile from the mobile version to the desktop version and it works for my Samsung A33. This website usually works OK on the mobile version.
I think Lynn had to turn some things off yesterday because of the unusually high load on the mobile version.
Try what Jilly is doing, using the Desktop version on your device. Replying might not work, but you should be able to start new comments.
Yep, The load is reducing now. I’ll turn some of them back on.
Yes. Samsung android.
This is so fucked up…..
IMO Gotta wonder at the mentality of whoever would do such a thing?
Stanford making her move then? Audrey Young on how she was the greatest ever and now some red rags to the parts of the coalition not seen as her natural base.
Business suddenly realised that Luxon is doing f all apart from farming out blame and pinching cash where possible.
Bishop losing his charm? Or the deal is in? Or the claws are about to be unsheathed?
