After flatlining for two years, the New Zealand economy is now in freefall.

Tariff damage is vastly overstated and the Chinese economy can't get enough of us.

Willis should resign or Luxon should fire her in a reshuffle.

We must be getting close to Prime Minister Chris Bishop as caretaker.

Problem is they built a house of cards around this group of senior politicians. Against the advice of officials in heaps of ministries, they said they know best.

They have to keep up the Emperors New Clothes charade, or someone will say the government is walking naked.

Option 1. The current lot stay in place and the government drips popularity.

Option 2. The government proves it didn't know best after all and the government drips popularity.

There are only two ways to recover:

      1. to run a tighter ship, so that people compare Luxon to Winston
      Churchill rather than Colonel Custer.

      2. To send Judith Collins back to church to pray for a miracle.

I'm not sure which is the low-hanging fruit.

Hopefully more Kiwis realise Austerity is foolish. Playing Jenga without collapses is beyond their skill level. Sadly, they will "Double down" as they apply more leeches to our economy, and say, "just another year".. Interest rate at 2.25%? And more spending without result for "the squeezed middle" and b all for the "Bottom Feeders.

A couple of old men let the coalition government know that criticism of their economic management performance is not partisan.

Trump intends to declare Antifa a terrorist organisation by executive order.

Except it is not an organisation.

This is of an attempt to silence critics for fear of investigation for being a terrorist.

It is a means to place regime critics on a terrorism watchlist and to remove dissent from media platforms.

To threaten consequences for the exercise of free speech.

Trump is intent on glorifying right wing free speech and censorship at the same time.

But research shows that the majority of political violence [in the US] comes from people following right-wing ideologies [in the US].

It’s tempting to extrapolate and generalise but that could easily lead to wishful thinking and speculation without bold evidence for bold claims.
