Don’t forget to be kind to each other …
The server had a problem with apache2 some time last night. Investigating now.
page load speeds seem back to normal now
Were they down yesterday? I didn't notice. I had a coding block (like writers block) that was making me spin in circles most of the afternoon and evening. The speed looked ok in the morning.
it was terrible at my end this morning. Couldn't even sticky posts. Everything just very slow. Not many people commenting this morning, so I assumed it was the site.
It was the site in this morning.
I saw the problem about 1110. Good to know the datum that it was partially working. It must have been still badly connecting and disconnecting to php engine.
When I hopped on the site around 1110, it was just timing out.
oh right, yesterday, I didn't notice anything.
I can't see a reason. Died about 1920 last night. Looks like apache2 stopped talking to the php-fpm port for no obvious reason. The php-fpm port was responding.
It didn't reconnect when I restarted the php-fpm so it wasn't some kind of port issue on that side.
I had to restart apache2 and it connected without a problem.
